Our local roots go back nearly 140 years!

 

We originally organized in 1873 as the Fort Wayne Free Methodist Church on the corner of Lewis and Harmer Streets.  In 1878, the church was relocated to Creighton Avenue.  In 1911 a new church building was erected on Holton Street and renamed Bower Free Methodist Church.  In 1963 the church building was constructed at 4410 Wayne Trace and the name was changed to Village Green Free Methodist Church.  In... the name was changed again to Lighthouse Free Methodist Church.  In... we procured 22 acres of land on the northwest side of Fort Wayne, at the corner of Wallen and Huguenard Roads.  We broke ground in 2008, and God willing, construction on the new facility will be completed in 2009.

 

Currently, during this construction phase, we share a facility with Saint Andrews Anglo Catholic Church (260-489-8116) located at 2014 W. Wallen Road.
